Delete your account

1. Open the Waypoint app or waypoint-live.app and sign in with the login you use (Discord, Google, Apple or Infinite Flight).
2. Open your profile — the profile button on the map, or "Your profile" in the menu.
3. Choose the "Account" tab.
4. At the bottom, tap "Delete account", then confirm with "Delete".

In the EFB (waypoint-live.app/efb) the same account panel is in the Settings app.

The deletion runs straight away. It covers every login linked to your account (for example the Discord and the Apple login of the same person), signs you out on all devices and can't be undone.

Before you delete: if you own a virtual airline, transfer it to another member or delete it in its crew centre first — until then the deletion stops and names the airline. If you want a copy of your data, use "Download my data (JSON)" in the same place first.

If you can't sign in any more — for example because you lost the Discord, Google or Apple login you used — write to [email protected] with the subject "Delete my Waypoint account". Tell us which login you used and your display name or Infinite Flight username, so we can find the account. Before deleting we may ask you to show that the account is yours, for example with a message from the linked Discord account. We delete it the same way as the button above, within one month at the latest, and confirm by e-mail. Parents of a child under 13 can ask us to delete their child's account in the same way.

• your account and profile: display name, your user id at the sign-in provider, Infinite Flight username and its verification, settings, profile picture, notifications;
• your Contrail profiles with posts, stories, videos, comments, likes and media;
• your memberships in every crew centre (also airlines you left) with e-mail address and crew photo, points, career, applications, bookings, bids, the support tickets you opened and checkride replays;
• your messages, reactions and images in every chat;
• your aircraft and airport photos, your photos in crew galleries, and the likes you gave;
• EFB documents, flight plans, gate suggestions and saved presets;
• Skydeck cards, friends and battles; Skydle games, maps, leaderboard places and your Skydle plane;
• push subscriptions, widget and Live Activity entries, staff permissions, and the sign-in tokens we hold for Infinite Flight and Sign in with Apple. If you signed in with Apple, we first revoke Waypoint's access to your Apple ID at Apple.

• Flight reports stay in the statistics of the airline you flew for, as anonymised rows without name, account or remarks, for as long as the airline keeps its records. Entries in an airline's mail log lose your account and address.
• Work you did as airline staff — events, invitations, reviews, awards — and messages you wrote in other people's support tickets stay, with your name replaced by "Deleted pilot". Gate corrections taken from your suggestions stay and credit "Community".
• Bans: if your account was banned from the pilot chat or Contrail, the ban stays with the login ids and names it covered and its reason until it is lifted — so deleting and signing up again can't undo it.
• Content reports you sent stay with their decision for 400 days after the report, so objections can be answered, but are no longer linked to your account.
• Staff action log: entries about a moderation or administrative action that concerned your account or content are deleted automatically 12 months after the action.
• Sign-in marker: for 15 days we keep a technical marker with your login id, so sign-in cookies from before the deletion can't be used again. It holds nothing else.
• Backups: Hetzner's backups of our server are replaced by newer ones; deleted data is gone from them after 7 days at most.
• Server logs: the server's system journal holds IP addresses, not account data, and is deleted after 14 days at most.
• Outside Waypoint: posts an airline's bot already published in its Discord channels are held by Discord and that airline, and e-mails already sent are with their recipients. Your account at Discord, Google, Apple or Infinite Flight itself is not touched; you can remove Waypoint from the connected apps there.

Much of what you post can be deleted on its own where it appears — for example a Contrail post, a chat message or a photo — and you can leave a crew centre or disconnect Infinite Flight at any time. For anything else, write to [email protected] and say which data you want deleted.
